Weight Watchers New Complete Cookbook
By Weight Watchers International Inc. Staff (Author)
This collection of 500 recipes is designed for people on the Weight Watchers' 1o2o3 Success program. The featured recipes are more healthful, but not drastically different from foods you and your family enjoy now. Every type of food is covered; sauces; breads; soups; meat, chicken, fish, and vegetarian entrees; pasta; vegetable, grain, and potato side dishes; and desserts. The book features some really good, useful and tasty recipes even for non weight watchers. If we were forced to only pick one cookbook, this would be it.
American Heart Association Low-Fat, Low Cholesterol Cookbook: Heart-Healthy, Easy-To-Make Recipes That Taste Great
By American Heart Association
Don't judge this book by the name. While this book may contain low-fat and low-cholesterol recipes, they are anything but bland and tasteless. After trying a few of the recipes, we were shocked at how delicious they were. The book is in a nice spiral hardbound and includes the nutritional information for each recipe. This is definitely one to add to any kitchen.
5 Ingredient 15 Minute Cookbook: Cooking Light
By Anne Chappell Cain (Editor), Oxmoor House
We have a mixed review on this one, depending on the type of cook you are. If you enjoy cooking, do it often and have the time to do it, then this probably won't like the simplicity of the recipes included in this book. However, if you are pressed for time each night and a novice cooker, then you will probably find this book to be a basic and much needed necessity for your kitchen.
The Complete Cooking Light Cookbook
By Cathy A. Wesler (Compiler)
If you have never read "Cooking Light Magazine" or tried one of their cookbooks, this is the one to try. The recipes are organized by categories, making it easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. According to the introduction, it contains the "top 10%" of the 10,000 recipes that the magazine published since its launch in 1987. In addition, it features color pictures with lots of helpful step-by-step technique photos. We gladly recommend this recipe collection to anyone looking to eat healthy without giving up one iota of taste.
Betty Crocker's New Low-Fat, Low-Cholesterol Cookbook (Betty Crocker Home Library)
By The Betty Crocker Editors (Editor), Betty Crocker
With this recipe book, low fat and low cholesterol certainly don't equal out to low flavor! The recipes are varied and creative and don't look like diet food. We found everything from simple to extravagant, for the experienced cook to something teenagers could prepare. This is a great overall cookbook, especially for those new to eating healthy.
